5 lei: Types II and I
Description:
50 bani:

  • Type I: dot at the bottom of numeral 5 larger.
  • Type II: the dot smaller.

Both types printed in yellow orange color.

2 lei:

  • Type I: numeral 2 thin, its top in form of a hook. Inscription Lei thin, letter L on top pointing to the right.
  • Type II: numeral 2 thick, its top in form of a dot. Inscription Lei larger.
  • Type III: numeral 2 similar to Type II, inscription Lei smaller.

Type I printed in rose (1922) and light green (1924),
Types II (1926) and III (1927) only in light green.

3 lei:

  • Type I: top of numeral 3 begins in a dot. Inscription Lei thin, letter L on top pointing to the right.
  • Type II: top of numeral 3 begins in a dot, middle stroke of numeral 3 split. Inscription Lei thicker.
  • Type II: similar to Type II, middle stroke of numeral 3 not split.

Type I printed in blue (1922), brown (1924) and rose (1924),
Type II in red brown (1924), and rose (1924),
Type III in orange red (1924) and carmine red (1925).

5 lei:

  • Type I: numeral 5 is narrower, the end of the final stroke of letter L in Lei almost touches the vertical stroke.
  • Type II: numeral 5 is wider, the end of the final stroke separated from the vertical stroke.

Type I was printed in emerald green (1920) and in red brown (1925),
Type II only in red brown (1925).
