The page dedicated to the 6th definitive issue of postage stamps of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, also nicknamed “the Small Peter”, was updated today with 96 new varieties. Many thanks to Mr. V. Ž. who donated a hoard of duplicates in which the presented stamps were found. Click here to access the page.

Starting with an update of pages of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, the page of the “Large Peter” issue of 1939/40 was updated with 2 constant varieties and additional information. More updates in several Yugoslav sections are almost ready.

The 2 dinar airmail stamp of 1947 printed in the opposite setting: the left part of the sheet with top country name in Cyrillic letters.

Planned issue for Trieste in 1945. In May 1945, the Yugoslav 4th army took over Istria, including the city of Trieste. At this occasion confiscated Italian stamps of 1944 were overprinted “1. V 1945 TRIESTE TRST”. Later, for anticipated annexation of Trieste, a new stamp was prepared but was never put in circulation. In total 7 constant varieties and 2 complete sheets were published in section of Trieste.

Jugoslazija instead of Jugoslavija on 1947 stamp. Damaged Cyrillic letter V (B) looks like cyrilic letter Z (3). This plate error is mentioned in Jugomarka stamp catalog. 4 varieties were added to the Federal People’s Republic of Yugoslavia section
