Type II
Type I (June 1911):

  • the ornament above letter P of HALFPENNY has two thin lines,
  • the King’s beard is undefined,
  • shading lines on the head of the sea creatures are short,
  • three lines between the point of neck and frame.
Type II (January 1, 1912):

  • the ornament above letter P of HALFPENNY in a form of one thick line,
  • the King’s beard is well defined,
  • shading lines on the head of the sea creatures are long, making the heads much darker,
  • four lines between the point of neck and frame.
Type I, Die A:

  • the shading of the jewel on the cross (on the crown) suggested by a comma,
  • scales of the right sea creature from a triangle.
Type I, Die B:

  • half-circle on the jewel on the cross,
  • scales of the right sea creature incomplete.
