Philately of Austria, National Costumes (1948/58): Varieties
Stamps of the definitive issue depicting national costumes of Austria, were issued in many printing runs and were in circulation for more than a decade. The stamps were printed in photogravure and released in panes of 100 stamps (10 x 10 layout).
RASTER, PAPER and GUM |
I. Raster wide (70 rows/cm) |

- Paper gray, gum yellowish brown, shiny:
- gum applied horizontally,
- gum applied vertically,
- gum applied both horizontally and vertically (cross pattern).
- Paper white with brightening agents, gum yellowish, dull (no pattern).

II. Raster narrow (100 rows/cm) |
|
- Paper yellowish gray:
- gum applied horizontally,
- gum applied vertically,
- gum applied both horizontally and vertically (cross pattern).
- Paper white, soft and thin:
- gum white, applied horizontally,
- gum silky, applied evenly.
- Paper white with brightening agents, gum yellowish, dull (no pattern).
