20 vinar, lithography, press sheet layout with types of sun rays |
Stamps were printed in press sheets with different layouts:
- 100 stamps in layout of 10 x 10, with passer lines
- 300 stamps, also with passer lines, consisting of:
- 2 sheets of 50 stamps each in 5 x 10 layout,
- 2 sheets of 100 stamps each in 10 x 10 layout,
- 200 stamps, having 2 sheets of 100 stamps each in layout of 10 x 10 stamps.
Typology based on sun rays
Print plates were produced by multiplication of a strip of 10 forms, each having different layout of sun rays. In sheets of 100 stamps, the types are uniformly distributed with each type in its own column, while in sheets of 50 (5 x 10) stamps there’s nonuniform distribution of types, as shown in schematic drawing above.
