6 December 1948. At the occasion of the 100th year anniversary of the publication of Claudio Gay’s work on fauna and flora, 3 sets of 25 stamps were emitted by the Chilean post. Each set has 25 stamps, and were issued in blue (60 centavos), green (2.60 pesos) and red (3 pesos airmail). Sheets consisted of 4 blocks of 25 stamps.
