We are proud to announce the updated version of Petauer’s Price List of the Chainbreaker Stamps. This price list was first issued in the Proceedings of the International Symposium, published on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of chainbreakers – the first Slovenian stamps.
The prices in the price list have been updated, and newly discovered paper types have been added. Additionally, main plate flaws and types have now been included and evaluated.
Also new is the 3-part classification of stamps, which categorizes stamps according to the printing houses in which they were printed, as well as the dates of issuance. This has replaced the established 2-part classification, which categorized stamps based on printing technology, namely lithography and typography.
Furthermore, the field of collecting has been expanded by introducing the predecessors of chainbreakers: stamps of the Austrian Imperial Post that remained in use in the territory of the Republic of Slovenia after October 29, 1918, and were used before January 3, 1919, when the first chainbreakers were issued.
The price list is available to visitors of the World Stamps Project here: Verigarji_Chainbreakers_2023_Price_List.pdf (21 Mb).
We eagerly await your comments and thoughts.
