Chainbreakers
The latest version of the Modern Price List of the Chainbreaker Stamps by mag. Boštjan Petauer. The prices were updated, and stamps that were not in the previous catalog were added.
Additionally, the most important characteristics of printing plates – plate flaws and types – were added and evaluated. To make this possible, the structure of the price list was changed from the usual 2-part to a 3-part classification, which groups stamps by the press works that printed the stamps and the dates of issue.
In addition, with this price list, we are opening up a new area of philatelic study that has been neglected so far: the predecessors of the chainbreakers. These are the stamps of the Austrian Imperial Post which remained in use in the territory of the Republic of Slovenia after 29 October 1918 and were used before 3 January 1919, when the first chainbreakers were issued.
Date of release: 5 June 2023.
